Naturally Australian Tea Tree Oil, NATTo, are an Australian tea tree oil company that not only provide pure tea tree oil products, but also grow, distil and bottle the product themselves.
While NATTo have been a long-standing wholesale supplier of pure tea tree oil for over 25 years, they were branching out into the retail sector and required a website to transform their company and products into a more consumer friendly brand. The website nicely balances the components of an ecommerce shopping experience with a corporate company site to inspire and educate users about the tea tree plantation.
NATTo are dedicated to maintaining their farm-land and still supplying the oil itself to their current wholesale trade clients the world over, but as an emerging retail brand their website needed a renovation to make it consumer friendly with a strong ecommerce backend.
This project involved a fair bit of branding and packaging work before the website could be done. So we dove into the logo headfirst, and created the brand, messaging and tone of voice and then tackled the packaging from their small 15ml oil bottles to the larger tubes and pump containers for creams and lotions. To set the foundations of this new world that NATTo were diving into, a plan for the brand awareness and their target audience was mapped out. These foundations allow for the website to then carry on the brand consistency and messaging and makes for a much more clearer direction for the site goals.
The site was carefully planned out with industry research, wireframes, colour pairing and high-end photography to showcase the company’s new brand and product line. There was also a strong focus on educating users about NATTo’s ethics and purity of its products, which is beautifully communicated via large photography, icons and well written copy.
